Hi Ralph,
Yes, there are a few good forums out there.

WarmGlass: www.warmglass.com
talk.craftweb.com (craftweb for off-hand glass)
www.handmade-glass.com
and more (wetcanvas etc.).

However, this (new) one will always be up and improved upon.. so hope you stay around! ;-)

Donovan thanks very much, the Warm Glass site was helpful. Keep well regards from Ralph Loewenthal. Was there not another Art Glass Forum some years ago? I have been out of the glass scene for almost 8 years now.

Hi Ralph,

I was hoping someone else would reply to this.. but this forum is still pretty low traffic.

Here is a couple resources I've found.

http://www.warmglass.com/glass_enamels.htm
http://www.thompsonenamel.com/products/enamels/index.htm

I am looking for a decrating medium that I can mix with my glass stains that will not run on a vertical glass surface when I paint on and fire my pieces. I had one in South Africa which was OK to use on flat surfaces, and with an air brush. I am now living in Israel and I have lost or given it away before I left. Please respond to my email address fayandralph@gmail.com as well.

Is this right...you posted this in 2006? Wow. If you are still around, I'll give you some pointers. I'm pretty experienced at doing it & building it. First build your ventilation system. Stannous Chloride is way overstated as a toxin, as far as I can tell...not being omniscient. But it can kill you deader than shit if you don't take precautions. I myself got a bad cornea burn from it one time.

Hi,
It's been years since I messed with it, but I was wondering if anyone has any points or hints on fuming, outside of the typical health and safety precautions. I am looking more for mixture, dilution strength, reduction, and temperature it should be sprayed with. It has been 15 years since I messed with it, and outside of health hazards I have never been taught much else.
