| The only forms where I slumped glass over were stainless steel. Generally over ceramic material glass cracks because of the difference in the expansion, and contraction rates of clay and glass. | |||

depending on the shapes of the sculpture, clear glass could create focused light which could actually melt parts and/or cause tension in the glass. It could also start a fire perhaps. Non-clear glass would have a chance at survival, but could also risk tension problems (which could lead to breakage). I think it really depends on the project and the individual goal of the piece. I've left lots of blow glass items outside without too much problem. Donovan |

HI there, I am artist and try to design some casting glass object for exterior environment. Some one told me the casting glass can’t be outside due to the light. It may break, is that true? Is that complete impossible to have a casting glass object / sculpture outside? Thanks for help suikang |
